Congratulations to Jen & John!!
This is the second time I was able to head up to Elizabeth Park in the past week. It seems to always have beautiful weather overtime I’m there. This time was no exception. Jen & John wanted a small, intimate ceremony and they couldn’t have picked a better place for it. After the wedding ceremony was over, we walked around the park and just found interesting locations to capture their energy and love.
Such a beautiful sunny day with a beautiful couple. The setting was in New Milford, CT at Candlelight Farms Inn. An outdoor wedding set for the longest day of the year in the summer. Kate and Eric were such a fun and easy going couple that took direction perfectly and picked up things quickly. Live band, micro brewed beers, great food and lots of outdoor games. This wedding had the feeling of a formal backyard bash.
Big congratulations to Jen & Alex! A couple lucky enough to find one another and lucky enough to have the weather clear out for them just in time. This being right after some Friday the 13th, full moon storms.
Here are just some of my favorites from that day. Many more to come!
Jessica is a person that I’ve known for a long time. I believe we go back as far as 2nd grade. After graduating high school, we lost touch. A few years ago, when she knew that I had begun photographing weddings, she told me “when I get married, I’m gonna hire you.” Sure enough, when she became engaged to a great guy, Omar… she reached out and booked me for her wedding.
The excitement that she brought and the trust that she instilled was outstanding. Needless to say, it was a fantastic day with a great bunch of energetic people.
Down to earth, happy and real. Just a few things to describe this couple. Emily and Matt seem to share the same smile. By that I mean, when one is smiling, it seems to carry right over to the other. They have a connection that extends beyond anything physical. It’s a great thing to be around and surely is a great thing to photograph.
I wish them nothing but good fortune and positive energy on their journey into the future.
Andrea and Craig are a sweet, sweet couple. They surely make a nice fit for one another. I knew right away that I liked Craig, being a fellow Apple enthusiast, because it’s hard not to like someone that’s willing to discuss mobile software for hours on end. Andrea (much like my fiancé) humors the discussion and doesn’t have a problem rolling with it. As soft spoken as she may be, I quickly found out that any “loud” energy she has comes out on the dance floor. I was so happy to her out there encouraging others as well.
A great group of people combined with a beautiful setting at the Great River Golf Club made for a beautiful spring day/evening. Hard to ask for more on your wedding day.
Congratulations to Andrea & Craig.
I got really excited and knew I’d get some killer images as soon as Shana and Eric told me the setting for their wedding. Hartford Connecticut City Hall is no ordinary city hall. It’s probably the most beautiful place you’ll ever see a town clerk working.
It’s a photographers paradise and playground with all the leading lines and geometry. There are so many options for good photos it’d be really hard to take a bad one.
My brother and I had a blast there and I can’t wait to go back.
After leaving the city hall, we took to the streets for some urban backgrounds as we walked to City Steam Brewery. If you’re a fan of beer, I highly recommend this place. Not only is it beautiful, but the have some great beers on tap. Both the Double IPA and Naughty Nurse were fantastic.
